Welcome to the Piping Hot Ceilidh band website!

South Devon based barn-dance and ceilidh band, with caller, ‘Piping Hot’ play an upbeat mix of Scottish, Irish, Celtic and English dance music for weddings, birthdays and anniversary parties, throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
 
Combining Highland , Border and Electric Bagpipes, Fiddle, Melodeon, Whistle, Guitar, Banjo,  Cajon (drum) – not all at the same time! – in different combinations to produce a genuinely unique, fun and lively sound.

We want your Wedding day to be special with lively dances bringing all your guests of any age and ability together, guided by our caller. First dance? – we can play your selected track through our P.A., or, we have dances where you can lead, with family and friends progressively joining in.

Parties

What ever the occasion, our caller will guide you through the step, – making mistakes is all part of the fun and guests of all ages and abilities will be able to join in. Playing Scottish, Irish and English tunes we will happily adapt to your requirements. The accent is on “Fun and Lively”

Anniversaries

Any special day is an excellent excuse for a dance! Whether you call it a Barn Dance, Ceilidh, Folk or Country dance. ‘Piping Hot’ will ensure you enjoy the evening. Our Caller will seamlessly adapt the dances to your needs, accommodating all ages and abilities.

A great way to bring your party guests together!

Our caller will guide your novice dancers while the band play driving jigs and reels, polkas and waltzes – with a rousing end of evening finale with Highland pipes, Fiddle, Banjo and Cajon (drum) and Guitar – keep your feet still if your can!!!

Available as a 3 or 4 piece band plus caller to suit your requirements.
Use our radio mic. for your speeches and announcements.
Use our top of the range Bose professional sound equipment to extend your entertainment before and after the ceilidh, with your own playlist.
Or how about a full on disco using our disco lights?
Full £5,000,000 public liability insurance – all our equipment is fully PAT safety tested.
